REAL History of Egypt Pt 1.

Ok, I hoped you enjoyed History of eye jipt, but now it’s time for the REAL History of Egypt Pt.1.

“In the beginning, there was only water, Nun in the world. The beat of the waves soon stirred up the powers of creation, forming the beat of a heart. Thus Ra was born”

– Egyptian creation myth, c.4000 B.C.E

In reality, the first humans to permanently settle Egypt was around 7000 B.C.E, when farming was invented. It wasn’t until 3500 B.C.E. until the Kingdom of Egypt began to be formed. This was when the Predynastic period (3500B.C.E to 3100 B.C.E.) began. Hieroglyphics were invented, allowing village chiefs to create nomes (small kingdoms). The strongest of the nomes were the ones centered around Ineb-Hedj (Memphis) and Tjenu (Thinis). This was where the upper and lower kingdoms where based. Each had a king, and to help the king was a visier. One king we know was called Scorpion. He was either the father of the next king Narmer, or another name for Narmer himself. Either way, Narmer (also known as Menes) was the first king of lower Egypt. He defeated the king of lower Egypt, but kept his Visier, meaning now each king now had two Visiers

The capital originally stayed at Tjenu during the First Dynasty, but after the start of the Second Dynasty they moved it to Ineb-Hedj. The collective time period of the First and Second dynasties was called the Early Dynastic Period.

This is where I will end this part. I will soon be releasing an appendix post for the History of Star Wars Pt.1. to get into more detail.
