Treees!

On Tuesday March 5 2024 we went and planted trees at an affordable homes complex. Most affordable homes don’t have that many plants and trees, so we went there and planted trees. These trees will  hopefully provide shade and cool down the complex and provide shade there were many different types of trees that we planted, like cedars and sycamores. There is  a process for planting trees. You’ll want to plant your trees in late winter/ early spring. That way, the trees can deal with the stress while they’re hibernating. First, you have to dig a hole twice as large as the pot it is in. It doesn’t have to be as deep, because you will put suff on to it later. This is the longest part of the process. In can take up to 30 minutes. After you finish that, you take the tree out of the pot and use your fingers as a rake to loosen up the root ball (the mass of tangled-up roots). Then, you put the tree upright in the hole. You should have pile of dirt from that hole. Be good and use it to cover the tree. DO NOT pile  the dirt right on top, otherwise you’ll suffocate the tree. Pile it on the edges, at least three inches away from the trunk. Then use the pot to scoop up mulch and cover up the unsightly dirt to, you know, make it pretty. Remember it has to be three inches at least away from the tree. Now you’re all done!

This was when the volenteers showed us how to plant a tree.

Thank you for reading! Sustainibility is an important topic for me and my freinds, so thanks for your support. Remember, take care of Earth, since there is no Planet B (not yet, anyway).
